This is a 12 foot natural color trunk with 45 areca fronds. These fronds were salvaged from a tree that I bought almost seven years ago. The preserved trunk they were on rotted, so I spent over two years developing an attractive, affordable, realistic trunk that would not rot. These fronds are almost seven years old and still look great. The trunk is almost three years old and looks the same as the day it was erected. This tree costs $279.00 |
This tree has 39 cycas fronds on a 12' gray trunk; it costs $309. The cycas fronds are 36 inches long; areca fronds are 30 inches long. The cycas fronds are 7 inches wide; the areca fronds are 11 inches wide. Both fronds are made of polyblend plastic, reinforced with steel stems. The polyblend material is highly resistant to temperature and humidity extremes, resistant to sunlight damage, and wind-resistant. |
This 8'11" tree with gray trunk and 45 areca fronds is in the Idaho Historical Museum, Boise, Idaho. Please note that the grooves in the trunk are deeper and more regular than those in the earlier generation trees. Also, subtle highlight colors are now being added to enhance the natural appearance of the trees. Built to last many years outdoors, these trees are perfect for indoor applications, as well. This tree costs $269. |

This is a close-up of sample cuts from a gray trunk and a natural trunk. These trunks feature subtle color variations that effectively mimic natural palms. Because these trunks are made from natural trees, they look more realistic than most synthetic trunks. |
This is a 12' gray trunk with 39 cycas fronds. I used a denser format in this photo to highlight trunk details, which aren't as clear in some of the other photos. This tree is in my hometown, but most of my trees are "somewhere else." Over 75% of my sales are in the Midwest or Northeast. This is a $309. tree. |
These two 12 foot trees with areca fronds and gray trunks are in Lake in the Hills, Illinois. These trees cost $279. each. |
